The 8th season of Pakistan Super League is starting. It will take place between February 9 and March 19, 2023.
There are a total of 6 teams in the upcoming season of HBL PSL which include Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandar, Islamabad United, Quetta gladiators, Multan Sultan and Peshawar Zalmi. All the teams have won the PSL title once while Islamabad United is the only team to have won the PSL title twice.
PSL 2023 Teams
It was expected that some new teams would join the PSL this time, But no new team could join. There are a total six teams participating in this season of HBL PSL. and the teams are

3: Karachi Kings
4: Quetta Gladiators
5: Multan Sultan
6: Peshawar Zalmi
Previously there were 7 seasons of the Pakistan Super league from 2016 to 2022. Islamabad United was the team that won the trophy in the first season of PSL, while Lahore Qalandars are the defending champions of the HBL PSL. PSL 8 Draft Details
The draft of the HBL PSL 8 was held on December 15 in Karachi. Many local and foreign players showed their availability in the Pakistan Super League season 8, but due to only 6 teams in the PSL many players could not be selected by any team.
Each team selected 18 players in the PSL squad 2023 and players were ranked according to their skills in platinum, diamond, gold and silver categories. Here are the final squads of PSL season 8.

There are many local and foreign players who were not selected by any team as each team selected 12 local and 6 foreign players. Sahibzada Farhan, the top scorer in the National T20 and Mehran Mumtaz, perhaps the best spinner in the NT20, were not selected for PSL 8.
